Part 2 – Concerns

Isaiah 41:10

Fear thou not; for I (am) with thee: be not dismayed; for I (am) thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

There is a difference between fears and concerns. With concern, you will still have some anxieties, and worries; but you do not allow them to consume your thoughts so that you become prey to those situations. For the concerned person, those emotions are alert signals that something is happening and needs to be taken care of immediately!

Fears can be destructive while concerns will create the opportunity for constructive decisions. The concerned person will be motivated to act instead of go under the situation. That person realizes that something needs to be done as soon as possible. There are discussions to find solutions, followed by plans to carry out emergent ideas.

The concerned individual will admit that the presenting circumstances are grave; but something must be done, and this is where fear and concern are different.

When the critical stage of the situation is reached, fear causes the individual to hide; while concern calls for action to bring about change.

The people of God should be reminded of II Timothy 1:7, which states:
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Have a blessed and wonderful day. Place your fears and concerns in the hand of the Lord
Casting all your cares upon Him; for He cares for you“  (I Peter 5:7)
