Part 1

Matthew 8:26

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

Fear is contagious and causes panic, anxiety, and worry. Fear raises the blood pressure and causes people to become jittery and irritable. Fear will send people into hiding. Still, is it wrong to express fear?

Nothing is wrong with being fearful; but no one should allow fear to control or consume his or her life.

While there are reasons for fear, yet we should make every effort to control its presence. When fear steps into the door do not give it residence or allow it to control your thoughts, emotions, or actions. If fear controls your life it becomes destructive as it moves similar to an out of control fire.

  1. Identify fear from concern
  2. Know that fear has entered your life
  3. Deal with your fears
  4. Do not allow fear to consume you or to control your thinking, and behaviour

We can deal with fears and concerns by turning to Jesus Christ Who is the answer for all our cares and concerns.

This is the time that our faith will be tested. However, God will only respond to faith (Hebrews 11:6).
