Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which] is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Christians should live with the expectation that they are going to a better place than this earth. It does not matter what they may possess or the abundance of accumulation of material things, all those possessions and wealth will be left behind when the time comes for separation.
We should with the readiness and preparedness that Jesus is coming back for us and we must do all we can to find ourselves in the place to hear “well done, thou good and perfect servant.”
Let us live each day and do our best to win others for Christ. We must let our lights shine into this dark world to win souls and stay focussed on the goal.
This world is not our home, we are pilgrims and strangers passing through. In the meantime, enjoy what you can; but do not allow those things to possess you.
