Introduction to Ministry
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. II Timothy 2:15
Program Description
This course is not an in-depth experience for any of the programs being offered. Rather, it is specifically planned for those persons who are not sure of their calling, but who desire understanding about ministry, what this entails, and how to prepare to take on a spiritual activity: for example, teaching a Sunday school class, discussions, leading someone to Christ and so forth. The course is also of great value to those persons who want understanding of their Bible, and other important factors which make the Christian experience an interesting one as we await the coming of the Lord.
Program Content
There are 6 programs each lasting 45 minutes over a span of 3 weeks; two programs each session. Students will not be asked to prepare long written papers, other than to give short essay answers. At the end of the program there will be a test to measure acquisition of knowledge, application of concepts, and transfer. This may be written or live presentation in answer to prepared questions. Those who complete the entire program will receive a certificate value 3 credits which can be used for advancement in another institution or at STC.

For the word of God (is) quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and (is) a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:1, 14
