Take up Your Cross
We each have to face life’s circumstances every day because we are called to bear our own cross. While it may seem harsh, this is the reality of the Christian life. As followers of Jesus Christ, we must never think that He asked too much because He gave His life on Calvary for us. The message of the text is that we must deny ourselves first, before we can assume true relationship with Jesus Christ. The cross is our identification with the Lord. Today if you hear His voice do not harden your heart. Moreover, the world is watching to see if we are true and faithful followers of Christ or just going through the motions pretending to be followers while living for the world. Judge for yourself. Who are you, and whom you represent?
Take up Your Cross
—–
And he said to them all,
If any (man) will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross daily,
and follow me.
Luke 9:23
