Leviticus 20:26

And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy,
and have severed you from other people,
that ye should be mine.

By the way some people live, one would wonder if they really know the Lord Jesus Christ. Carelessness is a sign of disobedience and lack of reverence towards God and His Commandments.

When we accepted Jesus Christ into our lives, we entered into a covenant relationship with God by believing on His Son. However, we must live holy which is what God requires of us. If we continue to walk in our own sinful ways, God will not bless us (Psalm 81). The person who  continues to live in sin, indicates to God and the world that he or she will live only to please the self. God loves us, but He does not love our sins.

Living a life of unholiness deprives anyone of God’s blessing (Psalm 81). Furthermore, it separates us from the presence of the Lord.

God requires us to be separated from the world so that we do not come under its influence (Leviticus 20:26). He wants us to love Him and to love one another (John 17).

Holiness is a voluntary choice of our hearts, and binding unto the one who accepts Jesus Christ.
