God’s Keeping Grace

Grace Greater than all our Sins

II Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

The grace of God came through Jesus Christ (John 1:14). Grace is God’s special gift to all those who will receive Jesus Christ Who came to earth full of grace and truth. You may wonder about this awesome gift to mankind and why it is so important to our steadfastness in serving the Lord. Indeed, grace is a supernatural gift which enables those who follow Christ to remain faithful even in the times of distress and troubles.

Paul had a thorn in His flesh (II Corinthians 12). When he prayed to be delivered from this troublesome situation, Jesus told him that His grace was sufficient to keep him, and did not remove the offending situation.

II Corinthians 12:8-9
For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

To many this may have seemed cruel and inhumane. Not so! This was not the intention. The main idea was to reveal to Paul another aspect of the powerful function of grace: “Keeping Grace” which, with faith, and through the power of the Holy Spirit will sustain the believer, so that he or she continues to trust God even when His plans are not made evident.

When we received Jesus, this was “Saving Grace” (Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:)”
What Jesus gave to Paul during his time of distress was “Keeping Grace,” “Sustaining Grace or Enabling Grace,” which supports and helps us to remain faithful in the midst of life’s changing scenes; whatever format these take. God’s grace will keep us in all situations, but we like Paul, must accept it.

Keeping Grace will give us courage in times of uncertainty and enable us to remain faithful to an unfailing God. Although we may have to go through the valleys, He will be there with the full power and strength of His Keeping Grace through the anointing and work of the Holy Spirit.

Moving Forward – Use What you Have!

In the face of difficulties, failure, and disappointment
we need courage to go on!

No one really knows what tomorrow holds after all this situation. Do not go to the psychics to obtain answers.

God wants to help and He is still saying: Jeremiah 33:3  Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

God wants to hear from you. No other entity does not hold the answer for your tomorrow. Do not listen to those persons because they cannot help you. Trust in God and seek for His help!

Facing Tomorrow

Have Faith in God: Build a strong firm belief in God. Have faith  and allow God to be your Sustainer, Provider, and Preserver Psalm 121. Talk with Him about everything. Commune with Him daily, hourly, moment by moment. When life seems to want to cave in on you, call upon Jesus; He is always near (Psalm 46:1).

Think Survival: Despite your position, you can survive. Still, you do not only want to be a survivor.  If you are just a survivor, then you will just barely make it day after day. You can do better than just surviving. Start making plans about your future with the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit.

Be creative and use the gifts which God has given you to make life better for youself. The man with the one talent hid his talent. If this was what you did with yours, now is the time to retrieve it, brush it off and find out how best it can help you to restart the motor of your life. Begin by putting a smile on your face and do not drag your feet.

Empty your mind of doubts as you move into a brighter tomorrow. If you doubt yourself, this will be your first roadblock. You must believe in God that He can change the situation, but you must be an active participant in this change,

You must have Determination: If you have to push yourself, then, do it; but be the “somebody” you had in mind when you were in school or college.

Determine not to let past failures, disappointments and misfortunes be your lot. If you are trusting in God with a willingness to use your talent, you will be surprised where that seemingly insignificant idea will lead. Use your God-given talent to change your situation, and do not allow anyone to deter you from going forward.

You must Set Reachable Goals: To be empowered you must seek to help yourself, and set clear paths which are positive and reachable.

Stop depending on others. Instead, find out who can help you, what you need to do, what are the resources you will need to make that desire come alive for you. People are there to help us if need be, but do not sit back and expect others to do what you can do for yourself. It may mean some long days and weary nights; but these do not last, and they will be worth it in the end when you see your successes. Do not hide your talent!

Even if you are not sure about your future;

trust in the Lord and let Him lead you!

Hope against Hopelessness

Faith and hope in God
will give you new perspectives about your future!

No matter you are faced with today, Never Give up. God will always make a way!

Ezekiel 37:1-10
In this passage the prophet gives a report of what he saw in a vision. There was hopelessness, devastation, and impossibilities. Yet, he trusted God to make a way out of nothing!

There are times when we reach a plateau in life or troubles visit us when we can least afford to be interrupted; but they do come. It is during those times of uncertainty when we need answers.

With the prophet Ezekiel, his vision did not end with the dry bones, or the impossibilities which he saw. God works with impossibilities; those situations for which we have no answers.

The story did not end with the dry bones in the valley of despair. Instead, God intervened and showed him that this was not the end of the entire situation.

You will notice that the prophet placed the hopelessness of the situation into the hands of the Creator Who is all-wise and will always make a way out of no way!

When we have reached our extremes; God is ready to do the impossible. Therefore, we should know our limitations!

Abraham and Sarah

We could look at another situation mentioned by Paul in Romans 4:18-19. Here we see an elderly couple who was promised a special child. They waited a long time, and for many years for God to bring His promise to pass, but it did not happen in their time. Instead, they took the situation into their own hands and tried to help God Genesis 16. Although God seemed to have taken a long time; His promises do not have an expiration date even though we become impatient.

Abraham and Sarah’s situation was humanly impossible, hopeless. There was no way they could have had a child at their age, but they did (Genesis 21). Despite the long wait, they had faith to believe in God and not the impossibility of their situation.

What is your excuse? Are you looking at the losses, failures, and what seems to be hopeless? Hope against hopelessness and see what the Lord will do. God cannot fail, but you must have faith and trust His Word (Matthew 21:22).

You are Special

A Reminder to all Mothers

You Were Chosen by God

When you woke up this morning, what thoughts came into your mind. Maybe you lost your job or you were laid off.

It could be that you really did not prepare for this intrusion into your life and the lives of millions.

Although you are not the only one in this situation, the devil may send his warriors of deceivers to clutter your mind with negative things about you and your future. Do not listen to those destructive thoughts. God loves and cares for you, that is why He made you Special, yes, you are special. God chose you, think about it!

You are Special

Think of yourself as the most beautiful rose in the garden;
The calm ripple in the river;
The soft wave of the sea;
Your favourite colour in the rainbow;
The delicate sunrise in the east;
The beautiful sunset in the west;
The soft gentle dew on the grass;
The unique snowflake that gently falls to the ground.
You are the most beautiful person created by God.
You are special, because God created you different from everyone else.
© 2005, 2019 B.Y. Stuart, The Institution of Marriage

Do not believe anything else, no matter what the negative voice intruder is saying. Fire back with “I am special, because I am loved by God.”

Have a wonderful day as you expect a more successful tomorrow; a better job; brighter days filled with joy, happiness, and hope.

Comfort yourself knowing this is not the end, you have hope and God is with you.

Share this message with someone who needs to hear it!

Let Us Pray

Prayer is a Divine Appointment with God

You are invited to our Weekly Prayer Session every Saturday  at 9:00 am EDT.

If you would like to attend, please send us an Email or dial 678 964 4096 [text or voice] for more information.

God will answer the prayer  of faith, and He will help you in this critical time.

Do not doubt His mercies and love.

It does not matter what the case may be, God is ready to answer when you come in faith believing and expecting Him to hear you.

Do not allow doubts and fears to hinder you. They are hindrances that will prevent you from achieving what God has for you.

The disciples were faced with a situation which they could not handle. Maybe they felt that they did not have the authority or power to cast out demons from an affected child. They were disappointed, and so was the child’s father. The disciples sought an answer for their failure from Jesus, Who told them that they could not cast out the demon because of their lack of faith due to unbelief (Matthew 17).

If you are in this position of faithlessness and doubt, do not allow the spirit of unbelief to be your reason for not trusting God. If you have faith to believe, then all things are possible according to Jesus’s word (Matthew 17).

We are looking forward to pray for and with you. Why not take a chance on Jesus Christ and see what He will do for a trusting heart? All you have to lose is your unbelief caused by faithlessness if they are present. With Jesus, you have everything to gain!

Dealing with Family Conflicts

God ordained the family
which is
the first institution man has known!

Conflicts

Conflicts normally occur when people are in close proximity of each other. There will always be differences and tempers will rise. However, any situation can be resolved without causing animosities. Keep in mind that a soft answer always drives away wrath (Proverbs 15:1).

Family Conference

Use this time of quietness to get the family together to discuss what is happening in your environment.
Begin by listening to each other, and asking questions to obtain understanding and find solutions.
Share differences, and be honest with yourself and those around you.

It only takes a slight misunderstanding or a casual word for conflict to occur.

Similarly, it only takes a moment to listen to each other and learn about differences that will improve communication and generate respect in the family.

Begin to listen to each other and show respect by treating each other equally the way you want to be respected and treated.

How does Conflict Begins?

Conflict usually occurs between individuals and groups. Whether those persons live together or work together. There is no particular setting for conflict to take place. Similar to fire which needs oxygen and fuel, conflict needs people with differences of opinions and who have needs.

In this present situation being faced by the entire world, families may get into disputes because of misunderstandings and miscommunications. It is not that individuals do not love or care for each other; but nerves are frayed. People face an uncertain future and there is no real answers concerning what will happen next! There is fear and all kinds of emotions are being expressed.

Listen to your Mind

When conflict occurs, frequently, it is not so much the issues or the nature of the conflict, but rather, the level of communication and different styles being used by individuals. Therefore, listen to yourself before trying to fix others.

The fact that presently, everyone seems to be in a place of uncertainty, there is hardly anyone who can help the other. The main thing to do is to listen to one’s mind.

Before you do, read these words from Philippians 4:8:

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Think about the statements you heard, before making decisions about a conflict situation.

What are the things coming into your consciousness concerning the incident with your spouse, or family member? Are those ideas true? Take a moment to listen. You may need to write some things down for clarity and further explanations. From these inner searches, you may need to make some adjustments with your communication style or your perception of things or individuals.

Always look at yourself first before trying to fix another person. This is a form of taking care of the “I” situation rather than the “you” discrepancies. You may find that the statement was not so damaging after all. It might be more helpful than you first thought. Listen, listen, listen!

Tips to Help you Manage Conflicts

There are many ways which individuals can use to manage conflicts. For example, if you are not sure of what you heard, ask questions.

Learn to listen carefully, and make sure you understand what the other person said.
James 1:19 states
let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Listen first, then make sure you heard the other person. Do not analyze words, or phrases, and then go after the person.

If  you are not certain of what you thought you heard:

Re-frame and paraphrase for clarity and understanding.
When you are not sure; non-threateningly, ask: “Did I hear you say…?”

This is your family [spouse, sibling, friend]. The present situation will pass, and you will need each other throughout life.

Deal with misunderstandings by following the guidelines below.

  1. Allow each person to speak.
  2. Be patient and encourage silence. It is important to get the other person to talk in order to encourage communication.
  3. Use body language, eye contact, with smiles and nodding to emphasize active listening.
  4. Carefully, and respectfully point out key issues and summarize so that there is clear understanding of the situation, to avoid any ambiguities.
  5. Do not call each other names or make statements such as:
  6. “You never…”
  7. “I knew you would have said that.”
  8. “You were always
  9. Do not bring up past hurts because you are all hurting at this time.
  10. Be patient with one another.
  11. Learn to listen before acting.
  12. Try to get to know each other afresh.
  13. Play games.
  14. Laugh a lot at each and with each other without animosities. This pandemic does not have to control your entire life unless you will allow it. What you cannot change concerning the distancing, you can change at home by being loving and kind to each other.

When this pandemic is over, make sure that you will still have each other.

Pay Attention to Non-verbal Communication

The way how we feel about something or each other can be read through the body language which speaks volumes. When we disagree with someone, we do not have to speak to show our disagreement.

Some non-verbal cues:

  1. We ignore the person.
  2. Raised eyebrows.
  3. Slouching, folding of the arms, and a certain look.
  4. We give the silent treatment.
  5. In-congruence in communication: Saying one thing while meaning another.
  6. Being disrespectful by shouting and banging doors
  7. Being angry at each other for no apparent reason.
  8. Lack of self-control – use calmness, and patience.
  9. Using hurtful words to describe each other.

Lack of self-control, mis-understandings and miscommunication will destroy any relationship.
Let us help you!

Learn to respect yourself, and you will respect others.

Have Faith in God

Faith in God will mountains!

I John 5:14-15

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

This message makes it plain that we must believe that whatever we ask of God, He will do it; but we must ask in faith.

Jesus said in Matthew 21:21-22
Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Obviously, God wants to bless us; but we must meet the conditions. You may say you do not have faith, or that you have faith but nothing seems to happen when you pray.

Keep in mind that God may not answer when we want Him to, nor will He always grant what we think we want. God knows what is best for us and when we are ready.

However, to have God’s attention and to have our prayers answered, we must have faith that He hears and that He will answer.

Do not look at your circumstances and doubt God Who is willing and able to answer your prayer.

Encourage Yourself

In times like these we need God’s grace to see us through.
How do we encourage ourselves?
Do we wait for others to do it?
Do we trust in God?
Do we have faith? Only you have the answers to these questions?
Keep in mind that as you encourage yourself, you are healing your emotions; drying up your fears; and strengthening yourself. In this time of pain and discomfort, think about the following:

  1. Cultivate Healthy Thoughts: Be careful about the thoughts you think [Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Watch the things which enter your mind. Make sure they are true, clean, just, and of good report which will not cause you to be ashamed later by your actions. If you think the right thoughts, you will be in a better position to plan your future after this situation has passed.
  2. Appreciate Quietness: There are times when you need to be alone. Cherish those moments of quietness. You may have to eat alone sometimes or may even wish you had someone to take you out on a date. In those times of loneliness, empower yourself. Light up your life by being proactive in choosing how to spend your time alone. Reactivate some past hobby which you once enjoyed, but do not allow the quietness to be an enemy. Instead, let it be a time of soul searching to find your inner self. It may be the first time you have been able to think about you. Do not waste it.
  3. Learn to Admire Life/Nature: Think of pleasant things. Notice the small things of life. Look at the flowers, admire the dew on the grass, listen to the chuckle of children playing rather than focus on the noise they make. Admire God’s creation all around you, the baby, the kitten, the pup, the blue sky, the birds that sing, and the branches as they sway in the wind. All those things are important for a healthy wholesome, mind, body, soul, and spirit [I Thessalonians 5:23].
  4. Cleanse yourself: Do not harbour grudges, resentments, past hurts and mistakes of people or your own. Exhale all the bad and inhale that which is beneficial. Read a good book such as the Bible. Take time to listen to the Holy Spirit. You have been busy all your life, now is the time to spend with the Lord by reading His Word and getting to know Him through the Holy Spirit. Being at home should not be a time of pain or to harbour loneliness. Drive it through the door by being proactive in finding worthwhile things to do and think about. Stop comforting yourself with loneliness and other negative comforters. Use the time wisely, it may never come again. Today is what you have. Do not allow loneliness and frustration to mine it away.
  5. Practice Forgiveness: Forgive others and forgive yourself if you want to be healthy. Love God, others and yourself. Forgiving others is helping you and no one else. You release the emotional toxins which grudge and resentment infuse into your system. These are the culprits which are hurting you and not what the person did or said about you. Forgiving someone is for you as you release that pain, burden, emotional load, sickness, call it what you will. You will feel much better and the stress and emotional sicknesses will be gone as the weight is lifted from you. Cast them on Jesus, Who is our burden bearer (I Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you). Jesus loves you more than anyone else will be able to do. He cares for you when all else have failed you – Jesus will be by your side. Forgive and you will be forgiven (Matthew 6:14-15).
  6. Be positive: Take time to be happy, joyful, poised, and gracious even in difficult situations. Let these come from within and not from external sources. They help you to build a pleasing character. You are the only one who can help yourself to have a healthy body, soul, and spirit. Only YOU can empower yourself; not wealth,  not beauty, not friends; nothing but being yourself and loving yourself. If you love yourself without being selfish, you can love God, and you will love others too!
  7. Learn to forgive especially in such a time as this. No one knows what tomorrow might bring. You have today, use it wisely! Let go of the past and free your mind of unnecessary emotional toxins which only hurt you and no one else. Forgive!

Maybe this is the time to invest in a new venture where you can  own your own business. Why not consider a course in Conflict Management at Shekinah Theological College? At the completion you can reach people online and help them with their problems.

He is Risen!

Praise the Lord! Jesus is Alive!

There is Hope!

Luke 24:1-9
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
And they remembered his words,
And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

Can we all say that Christ has risen in our hearts on this special day which changed the entire world? Even today as you are reading this passage people are still accepting Jesus Christ into their hearts. Have you asked Him to come into your heart?

Indeed, resurrection day is extremely precious and important to the entire world. Whether there is awareness or not; it makes no difference. Jesus is alive for evermore! Amen!

We will never be able to understand what went through the disciples minds when they heard that Jesus had risen from the dead. They may have felt that His talk about being risen from the dead on the third day was somewhat incredible.

Nevertheless, when they heard that He was seen after His death, only one disciple wanted to see Him with his own eyes and to touch the nail print in His hands before he would believe.

John 20:24-29
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

As you read the passage above, what do you think? What goes through your mind when you look at your life? Do you know Jesus? Do you believe in the resurrection? Do you believe that He really died, was buried, and rose on the third day? What do you believe? If you do not believe, what will it take to convince you that Jesus Christ is real, and that He lived, suffered, died, was buried, and rose from the dead, returned to His Father in heaven and is coming back for the church, His people?

When we die, this is not the end. Christ’s resurrection is proof that death is not the end of life. For this reason, we must preach the resurrection to remind people that Jesus Christ is real, and that He is alive. (I Corinthians 15:13) But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

Clearly, if you do not believe in the resurrection, then your faith is in vain, and you have no hope. (I Corinthians 15:17, 20) And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.

Praise God, He arose from the dead. Christ arose. Hallelujah! There is hope no matter what you are facing at this present time. The world is in chaos; but this will pass and something else will come. Nevertheless, this world is not the end. Let us prepare for the coming of the Lord and be not afraid.

If you hear His voice calling you today, do not harden your heart. This is the day of salvation. Accept Jesus Christ into your heart and receive eternal life. God is loving and forgiving and He will never turn you away.

Jesus is risen!

Is He alive in your heart today?
